Spring Rain
The mild evening showers, the smell of the earth, spring weather, fresh green leaves spurting, flowers blooming - the most pleasurable experience that one can have in namma Bengaluru.
Roads carpeted with the flowers of "Honne Mara" after the previous night shower.
The fresh bright green leaves of "Honne Mara" with its flowers carpeting the streets - the perfect sunrise.

Night Skyline
View of the RMZ Millennium on Murphy Road. I used to work at this place for sometime when Philips had rented this building. The picture was shot from Manipal Towers on Dickenson Road.

Silver Lining
More pictures from ITPB. The spring sky with few thick clouds. The setting sun casts a brilliant spell on these clouds to give a lively feel.

With a few flowers in my garden, half a dozen pictures
and some books, I live without envy.

Nama oorina jathre
Orru Jathre of Ramapura. These are the pictures of the first day of the three day festival. This jathre is jointly organized by the people of Ramapura and Bimanahalli.
The first ceremony - Going around the village inviting the Gods to participate in the festival. Those are stone wheels.
Gowdara Bandi
Mine is the best.
The women folk offer these decorated baskets to the Goddess. More the decoration more the pride :)
sea of flowers
The procession starts from the smaller temple of the village, passes through the orru bagilu (the main village gateway) and ends at the main village temple.
Goddess Varamahalakshmi. People here believe that the Goddess is the daughter of the Bimanahalli village. It is the thavara mane (parents house) of the Goddess. That explains the participation of Bimanahalli in the jathre.
The main temple of the village.
